The Merriott Messenger is a community newspaper produced by a volunteer Team, with the aim of improving the well-being, lifestyle and social inclusion of the residents and those having an interest in the village and its affairs. It is delivered eleven times a year to over 1000 households in Merriott. Thanks to the sponsors the Messenger is free of charge.

Its 8 or 12 pages contain articles and photographs submitted by members of the community.

These include:

Advertising future events and reporting on those that have taken place. Church and School news; advice on plants, pets and more; requests for help with various projects; articles on the history of Merriott; planning applications; lists of useful contacts; poems and quizzes.

The deadline for items, for the next month’s issue, is 10th of each month (no issue in January).
